Assistant/Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance

Salary: Assistant Professor approximately $46,000; Associate Professor approximately $50,000 depending on experience/academic year plus full benefits

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching, research, and service in the field of health and kinesiology.  Teaching assignments could include the areas of motor learning, biomechanics, health and physical activity.  The workload also includes student advising, committee work, and other department or university duties as assigned.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with university faculty, staff, and students.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D./Ed.D. in a kinesiology, exercise science, or health related area. They will have demonstrated effective leadership, excellence in teaching, ability to use technology to support instruction, and potential for scholarship.  The ability to work well as a member of a team is essential.

Because Montana Western’s Health and Human Performance program emphasizes hands-on learning and the development of outstanding teacher candidates as well as pre-professional students, candidates with exceptional university teaching records and public school experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Class sizes are small and students take a single course at a time, three hours each day for 18 days, before moving on to the next course.
