After ten years of working in the private sector as chief operations officer for a multi-million dollar company, Fredrick (or Fred) decided to enter higher education and pursue his Ph.D. He spent some time as an assistant professor in New Mexico, where he focused on best educational practices with cognitive learning and distance education. Fred also taught in Colorado, where he was instrumental in the development of new graduate degrees in the area of athletic administration and coaching pedagogy. Currently, Fred is a full professor at Montana Western and chair of the business and technology department with a primary focus on strategic management, management and organizational cultures, and human resource management.
He has numerous journal and book publications to his credit, and serves on the board of directors for a variety of corporations throughout the Northwest. He also actively presents and consults in the corporate and higher education worlds, as well as business education related conferences. Fred currently serves as vice chairman of the executive board of directors of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) accreditation organization, is current president of the Northwest Region 7 of IACBE, and is a site reviewer for assessment and accreditation globally.
