Instructor/Assistant Professor of Special Education

Salary: Instructor approximately $38,000; Assistant Professor approximately $42,000; Associate Professor approximately $48,000 depending on experience/academic year plus full benefits

Description

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching (approximately 75% of assignment) and advising (approximately 25% of assignment) undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students.  Teaching assignments could include courses in special education, school law, educational psychology, and foundations of education.  Courses will be taught in both online and face-to-face formats. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with university faculty, staff, and students.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a master’s or doctorate in Special Education. S/he will have taught for three or more years in a K-12 setting. Candidate will have demonstrated success teaching face-to-face and online courses at the post-secondary level. Preference will be given to individuals who hold an endorsement in Special Education. The ability to work well as a member of a team is essential.
